Dit voorjaar komen bezoekers uit de hele wereld voor de Vermeer-tentoonstelling. Ze zullen ongetwijfeld ook de prachtige tulpen in onze tuin bewonderen. Afhankelijk van het weer bloeien de tulpen van half april tot in mei.

In de tuin aan de Museumpleinzijde bij de vleugelnoot zijn onder andere te zien de vroege wit met roze tong tulp ‘Willem van der Akker’, de eveneens vroege sierlijke wit met roze en gele tulp ‘Ice stick’. Hier ook de roze ‘Don Quichote’, de ‘Request’ een oranjeroze tulp, ‘Virichic’ een roze tulp met groene vleug in het blad, ‘Elegant Lady’, wit met zachtroze. Aan de Stadhouderskade staan lage vroegbloeiende tulpen als ‘The First’ wit met opvallend geel hart, de ‘Cynthia’ roomwit met roze en ‘Tubergen’s Gem’, geel met rood. De later bloeiende ‘Claudia’ een leliebloemige roze tulp met witte rand, de paarse ‘Purple Dream’ en de ‘Request’ een oranjeroze tulp.

This Spring visitors from all over the world visit the Vermeer exhibition. We are quite sure they will also admire our pretty tulips in the garden. Depending on the weather they will bloom from mid April into May.

In the garden on the Museumplein side near the wing nut you can see, among other things, the early white with pink tongue tulip ‘Willem van der Akker’, the equally early graceful white with pink and yellow tulip ‘Ice stick’. Here also the pink ‘Don Quichote’, the ‘Request’ an orange-pink tulip, ‘Virichic’ a pink tulip with a green hint in the leaf, ‘Elegant Lady’, white with soft pink. On the Stadhouderskade there are low early flowering tulips such as ‘The First’ white with a striking yellow heart, the ‘Cynthia’ creamy white with pink and ‘Tubergen’s Gem’, yellow with red. The later flowering ‘Claudia’ is a lily-flowered pink tulip with a white edge, the purple ‘Purple Dream’ and the ‘Request’ an orange-pink tulip.
