Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam
At the entrance, wooden tubs are home to the “Lady Waldorf Astoria”, christened last year, an elegant white tulip with large pink-red flames, resembling a historic variety. This tulip, unique to Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, also grows in wooden tubs in the historic courtyard garden in front of the Tea House. In addition, there are several other varieties of tulips in wooden tubs on the terrace, all of which are fringed: the red with white fringes “New Santa”, the double apricot-coloured “Brisbane”, the yellow with red “Party Clown”, the double pink with white “Queensland”, the purple tulip with white base “Purple Chrystal”, the double lilac “Newcastle”, the pink-orange “Louvre Orange” and the red “Calibra”. On the edge of the roof is the yellow-purple flamed tulip “Helmar”. Various varieties have been planted in the ground: in the oval, “Lady Waldorf Astoria”, next to it “American Dream”, a soft yellow to red-orange fading tulip, against the building a border of pink and white “Merilyn”, a double pink “Marriage” and a white and green tulip “Spring Green”. The square tree pits feature “Cape Cod”, orange with yellow. The rose beds feature the fringed lilac with white “Purple Circus” and the borders contain mixed tulips, including the orange “Orange Emperor”, the purple with white “Rem’s Favourite” and the orange-yellow “World’s Favorite”.

The garden of the Rijksmuseum is filled with a colourful abundance of spring flowers. Among the mixed varieties of flowers on Stadhouderskade are the early-blooming white and pink-red tulip “The First”, the lilac “Candy Prince”, the white with dark purple streaks “Purple Favorite” and the “Jacuzzi”, a silver-lilac tulip with a dark stem.

During the Tulp Festival, John M. The Style brings exuberant colour to spring with more than 7,000 tulips in different colours and varieties throughout the month of April.

There are several pallet boxes with one variety of tulip per box: the red “Unique de France”, the pink with dark pink flame “Pretty Princess” and the “Cadans”, a red tulip.

In addition, two tulip mixtures are scattered throughout the complex, one with the deep red “Seadov”, the orange-pink “Astronaut André Kuipers”, the orange with salmon pink flame “Request” and the “Shell”, a double orange with yellow tulip.

The other mix consists of the double pink-white “Foxtrot”, the white “Peace” tulip, the double red “Red Foxtrot”, the white with purple “Flaming Flag”, the pink “Lydia”, the purple “Purple Lady”, the violet “Passio Glossy” and the light pink “Rejoyce”.
